Joining Gwynedd Facilitators Network

The Network was established in September 2002. We are bilingual facilitators from various work backgrounds working throughout Gwynedd and/or Conwy. We are trained in facilitation techniques and promote participation and sustainable development by supporting and developing each other's skills.

In 2006 we agreed the following aim and objectives.

Aim:

We will ensure the full participation of the community in decision making within Gwynedd and improved co-operation between various stakeholders by promoting participative processes.

Advantages of membership

Who can join

Membership is open to anybody who agrees to the Network's aims and has attended the Network's introductory course in facilitation or equivalent training.

Responsibilities of members

We are a co-operative which depend on everyone's input to sustain ourselves. Every member has something different to offer and supporting the Network is an additional item on top of normal workloads and everyday work. Generally this is what is expected of everyone.

Currently there is no membership fee, but discounts on training fees will depend on voluntary contribution during the previous year.

Communication

We tend to meet face to face 3/4 times a year and a different team of members organise these meetings each time. The AGM is held in the winter.

The main means of communication is the Network's Yahoo site on the web.
